With exciting new flavours and just 87 calories per packet, Kallo’s Pop-Crisps are likely to become your new favourite snack.
Ten servings of vegetables, eight glasses of water, and an ever-growing list of foods to avoid – every day, the road to health and wellbeing seems to get longer and more fraught. For busy people, it can be a struggle to eat right, stave off hunger and still get through long to-do lists.
That’s why Kallo, the people behind the Pop-Crisps in your April Gin of the Month box, are rethinking the role a bag of crisps can play in our lives.
“We make life about what you can, not what you can’t, have,” Hayley Murgett of Kallo says. “Eating the right way is about loving food and having a balanced diet based on making intelligent food choices – and having a packet of our new Kallo Pop-Crisps in one hand and a G&T in the other is the perfect balance.” She continues: “We’re on a mission to help make positive eating easy for everyone, so it was a natural move for us to want to create a healthier alternative to crisps, one of the nation’s favourite snacks.”
The Kallo team replaced potato with an amazing combination of completely natural ingredients, including yellow and purple corn and green and yellow peas, to make their Pop-Crisps. Crispy, high in fibre and just 87 calories, these Pop-Crisps are a coup for health food fans – but how do they taste?
“No one wants a healthy snack if it doesn’t taste good,” laughs Hayley, “so we spent a lot of time creating our four flavours. Not only are the flavours really exciting, but our Pop-Crisps are made with really interesting natural ingredients.”
Kallo took the nation’s favourite crisp flavours and reworked them. “We added a Kallo twist to make them feel really special,” says Hayley.
Ready salted crisps became Himalayan Pink Salt with a hint of Black Pepper; salt and vinegar transformed into Sea Salt and Sicilian Lemon Vinegar. And two more flavours – Sour Cream and Dill and Wasabi and Soy – are charting a new course for adventurous snackers.
Gluten free, suitable for vegans and vegetarians and high in fibre, these crispy Pop-Crisps are just the thing to reach for when you’re craving crisps but still want to make good choices. And, as a Craft Gin Club member, you’re one of the first to taste them!
