Gin Serves from around Europe

Hola from Spain...
Firstly, we need to thank the Spanish for the beautiful Copa glasses we all now insist on drinking our G&Ts from! The Copa de Balon has been used since the 1700s in Northern Spain. When traveling to Spain, prepare to swap your G&T to a G&C - gin and coke - as this unusual mixed drink is a favourite there.

Hallo from the Netherlands...
Gin started its life as Genever, a Dutch liqueur. The drinking custom for taking this spirit is to fill a tulip shaped glass to the brim and knock it back, without spilling a drop! The tradition is known as kapstootje, which translates to "little head butt"... which says it all, really.

Bonjour from France...
The French sip their gin with sparkling wine in a French 75. Named after the French 75mm field gun used in WW1, the cocktail has the same kick as you'd feel getting shot!
