An elegant twist on a traditional Negroni, with enhanced notes of blackcurrant from the Crème de Cassis. This grown-up winter drink is simple to make and deliciously full flavoured, with a classic balance of both bitterness and sweetness.
We used November’s beautiful Gin of the Month, Cambridge Dry Gin, Verbena and Rosemary, to mix up this sage and cassis negroni as the citrus fresh notes really complimented the addition of sage in this classic gin cocktail.
25ml Cambridge Dry Gin Rosemary & Verbena Limited Edition
20ml Campari
20ml Sweet Vermouth
5ml Crème de Cassis
Sage leaf to garnish
Pour ingredients into mixing vessel. Add ice and stir for around 15 seconds. Strain over ice into a chilled rocks glass; garnish with a fresh sage leaf.
