The world could use more kindness! That’s why our friends at Soda Folk - who appear in our June 2020 Gin of the Month box - crafted a range of sodas that celebrate folk doing good deeds. Each of their cans of delicious soda celebrate good folk who make the world a better place! Our kind of folk!
Soda Folk’s founder Ken grew up in Colorado and after moving to London he longed for a taste of home. So, he created Soda Folk with a like-minded team. Their aim was to craft a range of authentic, natural sodas using honest, great ingredients.
Ken decided that each flavour should feature Good Folk who have done great things. Today, Soda Folk champions unsung heroes through the Good Folk Trust that helps those who are helping others.
Let’s meet the flavours and hear their stories! You can then stock up and enjoy the full range of delicious flavours in our online shop!
Soda Folk Cherry
Tracey Ducharme
Tracey earned a spot on the Soda Folk can that came in our June 2020 Gin of the Month box by saving the lone llama of Pikes Peak. Back in 2009 the llama was lost in the Rocky Mountains. He was frostbitten and thin, and no one could manage to bring the skittish creature home apart from Tracey who used her own llamas to coax him home.
The real black cherry juice blends with apple juice to create a drink that is a little tart, a little sweet and a lot of delicious! Why not try the Soda Folk Cherry in our June 2020 Cocktail of the Month?
Soda Folk Cream Soda
Fred Lewis
From his years in the US Air Force to his days as a boxing champion - one of the few to ever knock down Muhammad Ali - Fred has lived quite the life. Today he’s a preacher who also runs a boxing club dedicated to the 3Ds: desire, discipline and dedication.
Rich and creamy with Madagascan vanilla, Soda Folk Cream Soda brings a classic American flavour to life. But just like Fred himself, it’s full of surprises — mixed in is a hint of smokiness and cedar!
Soda Folk Root Beer
Brian Gravenstock
This bike mechanic donates bikes to those in need in his local community. Brian gifts wind-in-your-hair freedom to those that need it most. It’s a freedom that’s at the root of lots of people’s happiness, and that’s why Soda Folk celebrates him with their root beer.
The same exhilaration of bike rides can be found in every can of Soda Folk Root Beer. The flavours of vanilla, cane sugar and maple syrup take the drinker on an unforgettable taste journey.
Soda Folk Grape
Carrlean Chang
A long-time nurse, mum of five and writer dedicated to giving a voice to the voiceless, Carrlean is a woman who has dedicated her life to helping others. Today she works with Heeling Soles, a charity that collects second-hand shoes and distributes them to people in need worldwide.
Made with black grapes and apple juice, Soda Folk Grape celebrates Carrlean. As with all drinks by Soda Folk, it’s made without any nasty artificial preservatives, colours or flavours.
Here at Craft Gin Club, we’re all about celebrating good folk and kindness within our community of gin lovers! So we thought it would be awesome to work with Soda Folk to launch an extra-special competition this month!
