Craft Gin Club's February 2026 Rum of the Month: Egiazki Bidaia Rum

Discover our February 2026 Rum of the Month - Egiazki Bidaia Rum. Founded by twin brothers Benjamin and Camille Fourt Arteaga, Egiazki is a trailblazing distillery nestled among the sweeping hills of the Pyrenees Mountains in the French Basque Country.
Benjamin and Camille started Egiazki to bring Basque tradition back to the drinks world, offering modern spirits that capture the rich, time-honoured practices and flavours of the region. Since its inception in 2014, Egiazki has cultivated a corner of the industry for quintessentially Basque spirits - and has paved the way for other distilleries to champion their heritage, too.
To make Bidaia Rum, Benjamin and Camille have imported a three-year aged rum from a friend's distillery in Cuba, that's then finished in at Egiazki's facilities in the French Basque Country. In Basque, 'bidaia' translates to travel, and this spirit captures the journey that Benjamin and Camille took to source the rum, as well as its overseas adventure to arrive in our members February Rum boxes.
Egiazki have selected an impressive three year aged Cuban rum for this expression, which they have finished in Armagnac and Irouleguy white wine casks in the Basque Country. The result is a spirit that’s deep, complex and wonderfully authentic

Each month we send our members everything they need to make the perfect rum serve - a carefully curated recipe to make their Rum of the Month shine.
This month, enjoy a balanced tropical-spiced serve with rich notes of dark chocolate, pineapple and ginger. Get the recipe below!
February 2026 Perfect Rum Serve
Ingredients
- 50ml Bidaia Rum
- 150ml Marlish Ginger Ale
- Dried lime, to garnish
Method
Fill a glass with ice and add your rum and mixer. Add the garnish, stir gently to infuse and serve.

Rum Biscuit Bliss
Ingredients
- 50ml Bidaia Rum
- 25ml Biscuit Bliss Cocktail Syrup
- 150ml Marlish Ginger Ale OR 150ml hot water
- Orange peel, to garnish
Method
Add all the ingredients to a glass filled with ice (if enjoying cold) or a heatproof mug (if enjoying hot) and stir to combine. Garnish and serve.
