Craft Gin Club's October 2025 Rum of the Month: Wicked Wolf Blood Moon Rum

This month, Exmoor-based distillery Wicked Wolf is launching two brand-new spirits exclusively to Craft Gin Club members – Bad Moon Gin and Blood Moon Rum. Inspired by ancient legend, this duo of lunar liquids are ideal for this time of year – when the darkness begins to settle in and a tipple or two after twilight tastes even more delicious.
Much like Bad Moon Gin, Blood Moon Rum is inspired by the ancient lunar legacy of the blood moon – a rare and powerful celestial event that was a symbol of transformation, mystery and primal power the world over.
In ancient folklore, the Bad Moon was said to rise only when the natural order teetered on the edge – when tides shifted strangely, when wolves howled with more hunger than usual and when shadows spoke in voices not their own...
This delicious spiced rum from Exmoor-based Wicked Wolf is testament to the passion of its founders, Pat and Julie. Their spirits are a true labour of love, benefiting from an ultra-slow distillation process that packs in so much flavour, and Blood Moon Rum is no exception.

Wicked Wolf Blood Moon Rum Perfect Serve
Ingredients
- 50ml Wicked Wolf Blood Moon Rum
- 200ml Artisan Barrel Smoked Cola
- Dried lemon, to garnish
Method
Fill a glass with ice and add your gin and mixer. Add the garnish, stir gently to infuse and serve.

Craft Gin Club's Peach & Jasmine Daiquiri
Ingredients
- 50ml Wicked Wolf Blood Moon Rum
- 25ml Peach & Jasmine Daiquiri Cocktail Syrup
- Fresh lemon peel, to garnish
Method
Add the rum and syrup to a glass filled with ice and stir to combine and gently dilute. Serve with or without ice. Garnish with lemon peel and serve.
