Craft Gin Club's September 2024 Rum of the Month: DropWorks Rum The Club Drop
This September, we can't wait to introduce members to DropWorks - the British brand using cutting edge equipment and techniques to create award-winning expressions and changing the face of UK rum with every delicious Drop.
The talented DropWorks team have been busily creating a one-of-a-kind expression for our members at their distillery in Nottinghamshire - now Europe's largest rum distillery - and the result is truly something special.
The Club Drop is the first example of the incredible rums DropWorks have ageing in their bespoke oak casks, which impart a sensational flavour profile unlike anything you've tried before.
Boasting a rich, fruit forward aroma and notes of light vanilla and hazelnut, the finish is intense and reminiscent of rye bread, roasted coffee and molasses. It's ultra sippable, infinitely mixable and one that you'll be proud to have on your bar carts.
In May 2023 we received a fascinating invitation - Europe's largest rum distillery had opened and was launching at Merchant House, London. A year on and an evening spent sipping cocktails at Monkey Bar, Berlin later, and we're so pleased to be able to share this release. Lewis and his team are writing their own definition of rum and, after tasting this expression, we're sure you'll agree that the future of British rum is safe in their hands.

- 50ml DropWorks Rum The Club Drop
- 200ml Fentimans Curiosity Cola
- Dried pineapple, to garnish
Method
Add your rum and mixer to a highball glass filled with ice and add the garnish. Stir gently to combine and infuse, then enjoy!
Craft Gin Club's September 2024 Cocktail of the Month: Sunbeam
On top of the fantastic Perfect Serve, every month our Clubbers will also receive a bespoke recipe for our exclusive Craft Gin Club Cocktail of the Month - as well as all of the ingredients to make it!
Our Master Mixologist Maria Vieira has been hard at work creating the perfect recipe for a refreshing serve that's the perfect celebration of the final days of summer. In Craft Gin Club's September 2024 Sunbeam cocktail, the earthy, zesty notes of ChariTea Black are the perfect partner to the vanilla notes of September's Rum of the Month, expertly enhanced with our custom-made cocktail syrup. September 2024 Sunbeam Recipe
Ingredients
- 50ml DropWorks Rum The Club Drop
- 25ml Sunbeam Cocktail Syrup
- 100ml ChariTea Black
- Fresh orange slice and raspberries, to garnish
Method
Fill a rocks glass with ice and pour in the rum, cocktail syrup and mixer. Give a quick stir to combine, then garnish, serve and enjoy!
