A Flower Power Martini is an easy showstopper for spring!
If you’re looking for a show-stopping twist on a classic gin martini that tastes as good as it looks - but is still incredibly easy to make - then look no further!
We’ve created this Flower Power Martini by adding a dash of Crème de Violette, the delicately floral liqueur that’s produced by macerating violet flowers in a neutral or brandy-based spirit to create a sweet, fragrant liquid.
And if you think this pretty purple cocktail looks familiar, that could be because Crème de Violette is also the star ingredient in the classic gin cocktail, the Aviation!
So if you love the subtle floral flavours of that top tipple, you’re guaranteed to enjoy this simple, three-ingredient Flower Power Martini.
Instead of an olive, this Martini works beautifully with a twist of orange peel to garnish (make sure you avoid the bitter white bits of pith, though). Flower Power Martini
60ml gin
20ml dry vermouth
10ml Crème de Violette
Orange twist or edible flower, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a martini or coupe glass and garnish with a twist of orange peel or an edible flower to serve.
