If you like mixing orange juice and gin then you will love these three stunning orange and gin cocktail recipes! Each one is bursting with juicy orange and rich juniper flavours, along with lots of other mouth-watering notes and tones that make each one completely special and utterly delicious.
As with any cocktails worth their salt, these cocktails rely on the quality of their ingredients. Here, that means picking a great craft gin (available here) and a fabulous orange juice - we love Frobishers Orange Juice, which Craft Gin Clubbers can find in their August 2022 Gin of the Month box.
The complex citrus, spice, herb and floral tones of a good craft gin are the perfect match for the authentic, juicy orange flavours of Frobishers Orange Juice (each bottle has the juice of three and half real oranges!).

Monkey Gland
This is a classic gin cocktail from the 1920s. Fruity and zesty from the orange and pomegranate-flavoured grenadine syrup, with some aniseed notes from the absinthe and that rich gin base, it’s a lip-smacking serve that’s sure to please any gin fan or cocktail connoisseur.
40ml gin
40ml Frobishers Orange Juice
5ml Grenadine Syrup
½ tsp Absinthe
Orange peel, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a coupe or martini glass and garnish with an orange peel.
Ginny Garibaldi
A ginny version of the classic Garibaldi cocktail, which is one of the quintessential Italian aperitif drinks, traditionally made with Campari and orange juice. The gin adds an extra kick along with notes of aromatic botanicals, which always combine perfectly with Campari’s bitter-sweet citrus and herb profile.
15ml gin
35ml Campari
Frobishers Orange Juice, to top
Orange slice, to garnish
Add all the ingredients to a glass with ice and give a quick stir to combine. Garnish with an orange wedge and serve.
Rhubarb & OJ
Invented by Craft Gin Club’s Master Mixologist, Maria Vieira, this is a fruity summer cocktail, with tangy rhubarb and zesty orange and lemon juice to make it refreshing and very easy to drink. The optional rose flower water will give an extra floral note that pairs very well with the rhubarb and orange, so be sure to give that a try too. Yum!
50ml gin
10ml lemon juice
25ml Rhubarb Syrup
1 drop of rose flower water, optional
Frobishers Orange Juice
Orange and/or rhubarb stalk, to garnish
Add the first four ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a highball or rocks glass over ice and top with orange juice. Garnish with a slice of orange juice and a rhubarb stalk.
