You have got to try the Gin & Elderflower White Wine Spritz recipe!
It just wouldn’t be summer without a nice crisp, fragrant white wine spritz cocktail to enjoy in the sun and with this recipe, we have you more than covered. Mixing gin with white wine and elderflower-flavoured tonic water, it is a taste of summer!
For the wine, we recommend something with mild tannins, a fruity palate and aromatic tones. Think along the lines of Sauvignon Blanc, Grenache or Pinot Noir - all three of those work fantastically well with the floral fragrance of elderflower - but any of your favourite white wines will work so pick something you enjoy drinking.
For the tonic, it has to be Fentimans Elderflower Tonic Water. It’s made using natural elderflower extracts to really give you that authentic elderflower experience.
The gin then must be a London dry. Crisp, rich and full of complex spice, citrus and juniper tones, it gives this cocktail a delicious backbone that’s earthy and moreish and the perfect counterbalance to the bright wine and tonic.
To garnish, we recommend a citrus fruit of your choice and a sprig of thyme to introduce herbaceous notes to the cocktail. For this recipe, we’ve picked grapefruit for its gloriously bitter-sweet notes.
Give it a go!

Why Fentimans?
Fentimans have been botanically brewing exquisite soft drinks for generations - since 1905, in fact! To achieve the best results they ferment their secret ingredients to give Fentimans drinks their distinct depth of flavour and velvety mouthfeel. We even used their Valencian Orange Tonic Water in our June 2023 Perfect G&T - find the recipe here.
The two recipes below mix Fentimans Ginger Beer and Fentimans Pink Grapefruit Tonic with gin to give you two incredible easy serves that are great alternatives to your classic G&T. You simply must try them out…
