If you are a fan of gin and Midori then you need to give this fabulous, bright green cocktail a go today! Mixing London dry gin with Midori melon liqueur, lime juice and tonic water, it’s fizzy, melon-flavoured with a rich juniper base and a tongue-tingling hit of citrus. Yum!
Midori is a melon-flavoured liqueur from Japan. Originally called Hermes Melon Liqueur, it has a distinctive bright green colour and is made with the juice of Japanese muskmelons, which are extremely rare and can cost up to $20,000.
Midori is a sweet liqueur that tastes like honeydew or cantaloupe melons. And, with just 20% ABV, Midori isn’t as strong as spirits like gin, whisky or vodka.

Made with four different varieties of juniper from across Europe, this London dry has a wonderfully complex, juniper-forward profile, complemented by hints of citrus and pepper, that makes it the perfect ingredient to balance out the fruity, sweet Midori.

15ml Midori
5ml lime juice
Tonic water, to top up
Cherry, to garnish
Pour the gin, Midori, lime juice and tonic over ice and stir. Garnish and enjoy!
