With this sweet and zesty cocktail recipe, the team behind Amázzoni Gin, our July 2020 Gin of the Month, have outdone themselves.
It’s a quick-to-make gin cocktail with a lip-smacking mix of tropical fruit, orange bitters and gin that will have you feeling the vibrant and joyous Latin rhythms of Rio De Janerio!
Passion Fruit Highball
Ingredients
50ml Amázzoni Gin
15ml lime juice
25ml orange juice
10ml sugar syrup
½ passionfruit
2 dash orange bitters
Slice of orange, to garnish
Method
For the sugar syrup: Add 100g of sugar to 100ml of water and stir over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and leave to cool before use.
Cut your passion fruit in half and add the pulp into a cocktail shaker. Add the rest of the ingredients (except for the slice of orange) and shake well with ice. Strain into a hurricane or highball glass. Garnish with the other half of the passion fruit and a slice of orange.
