Yes, you read that title correctly. This stunning gin cocktail recipe is made with truffle oil!
Inspired by the incredible truffle flavour of Simply Roasted Crisps Black Truffle, which we sent to Craft Gin Club members in their May 2022 Gin of the Month box, our amazing Master Mixologist, Maria, has created this stunning truffle-flavoured gin cocktail recipe for you to try at home.
This luxurious recipe is a twist on the classic White Lady cocktail, which is itself a type of Sour. It mixes gin with truffle oil, giving the tipple those iconic, earthy aromas of truffle that can be found in top restaurants across the world. The oil also adds a moreish, silky texture to the cocktail that is simply divine.
Citrus juice from lemons or limes (take your pick), then add bright zesty notes that elevate those rich gin and truffle flavours. Cointreau then adds even more complexity to those citrus notes, with its bitter-sweet orange profile.
We like to finish this cocktail with either three dots of truffle oil in the foam or three dots of Angostura bitters for an added hint of spice that is sublime.

50ml gin
25ml Cointreau
15ml lemon or lime juice
5ml truffle oil
1 egg white
Truffle oil or Angostura bitters, to garnish (optional)
Add the gin, truffle oil, Cointreau, citrus juice and egg white to a cocktail shaker and shake well. Add ice and shake well again. Strain into a coupe glass, garnish, serve and enjoy!
